Followed by at 6.00pm with a presentation from Race Matthews on "Social Justice through Worker's Cooperatives"

Race Matthews is a former member of the Victorian (Oakleigh, 1979 to 1992) and Australian parliaments (Casey, 1972-1975). Race served as the Minister for Community Services (1987-1988), Minister for Police and Emergency Services, and Minister for the Arts (1982–1987).

Currently a senior research fellow at Monash University, Race is the author of numerous books including: "Building the Society of Equals: Worker Co-operatives and the A.L.P.," "Jobs of Our Own", "Australia's First Fabians", "Whitlam Re-visited: Policy Development, Policies and Outcomes", "Labor's Troubled Times", and "Turning the Tide: Towards a Mutualist Philosophy and Politics for Labor and the Left."
